Something Left, Something Taken

Ru Kuwahata and Max Porter from Tiny Inventions

July 22, 2010
Reception 7pm – 10pm

Ru Kuwahata and Max Porter’s Brooklyn based animation studio, Tiny
Inventions showcase their current collaboration, “Something Left,
Something Taken.” Set in San Francisco, the eleven-minute mixed media
animation saturates urban paranoia with humor and levity when a
vacationing couple believes they’ve encountered the Zodiac Killer.
Join us for an opening ceremony artist Q & A and an up close look at
key set pieces. Kokoro studio will also host subsequent nightly
showings of Tiny Inventions’ several award winning works.

Dedicated to sharing their love for animation art, Max and Ru have
held workshops, lectures, and consulted at Sesame Workshop, Japan
Society, Parsons New School for Design, Women In Animation and Monroe
Community College. Also travelled around the US with Lunafest visiting
schools such as Old Dominion University, Siena College, and Costa
Community College. Max currently teaches part-time in the
Communication Design and Technology Department at Parsons the New
School for Design and Ru teaches in the Pre-College Academy at Parsons
the New School for Design.
